CULTURE COLLECTION CCVIEO
The CCVIEO culture collection is focused on marine microalgae that produce harmful algal blooms. Since 2024 it has been part of the CSIC’s catalog of scientific-technical services. On this website you can consult the price list for the supply of CCVIEO strains.
It constitutes an important tool for our work group since it provides material for carrying out research projects on toxicity, taxonomy, life cycles, genetics and pigments.
It contains about 300 strains of more than 80 species of microalgae. Most of the strains are from Spanish coasts but it also includes strains from other parts of the world.
