The Red Tides audiovisual production is designed to meet the following objectives:

Promoting the understanding of the phenomenon of toxic tides and their causes.

Explaining the relationship between the oceanographic conditions and the phytoplankton dynamics responsible for the presence of biotoxins in the estuaries.

Showing the work of the scientific community and research centers in the study of reliable systems for the detection and prevention of marine biotoxins in mollusks that guarantee food safety.

Disseminating good food safety practices in relation to responsible consumption of mollusks, banishing misconceptions and false myths.
